There is a way out. We just really really need education on how the human mind works, Geisteswissenschaften in german. Just include the opposite of natural sciences in schools and we get psychological literacy in our societies. Think about it: What is our problem? We have washing mashines, guns, water, whatever you can think off. The rest of the problem, or just the next important step is to get rid of the schmutz in our heads. We need to spread the terms and concepts that philosophers and other thinkers have found out over all these years and make them as simple as possible so that we can teach them in schools. Things like projection, shadow, potential -- you can make excercises and have kids get a grasp of their heads! Which is of upmost importance, since all the BS one goes through only gets to be traumatic if you just can't figure out what it was about. And you can figure it out. If you know about archetypes and learn to see how unsconscious people are.
Our problem is individual and collective psychalexia -- the incapability of adequately using the head.
